Pump up The Value of the Sprint Review

Details
You know that feeling… You did your best to get prepared for the Sprint Review, yet your way of presenting and seeking feedback was rejected. It seems like no one gives you a chance to share your experience and personal stories with the world. Moreover, the feedback that you received (if you were lucky and got one) was not helpful. You don't know what you can do differently to improve the way you speak at the next Sprint Review. How frustrating is that? In this talk, I will use the metaphor of an audio speaker. We will explore 5 visual techniques with hand-drawn posters I created, which I call “The 5 Components in a Speaker” (no engineering degree is required ☺). Also, we will cover why they are essential to successful Sprint Reviews. Next, the participants will get examples of how those techniques can help them improve their Sprint Reviews. Lastly, I will tell some personal stories and what did I learn to do differently to increase the likelihood that my Sprint Reviews would be engaging.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
● Understand what language people are looking for at Sprint Review.
● Apply 5 techniques to connect with the Sprint Review’s participants.
● Improve their talk development for Sprint Review.
● increase their chances to be selected as speakers at conferences (yes, that’s right)!
