As consumers, businesses, and governments become reliant on these devices to deliver critical services and help make informed decisions, the security of these devices becomes essential. This presentation will highlight positive shifts in the IoT security regulatory environment, and in how manufacturers are designing and deploying IoT devices. It will also highlight common IoT vulnerabilities and risks and will share best practices for addressing these challenges.

Mike Nelson is the VP of IoT Security at DigiCert, a leader in digital security.

Before DigiCert, Mike spent his career in healthcare IT including time at the US Department of Health and Human Services, GE Healthcare, and Leavitt Partners. Mike’s passion for the industry stems from his personal experience as a type 1 diabetic and his use of connected technology in his treatment.
