Details
MIT in Cambridge has a lot of very unique buildings and we will explore those together.
There is the triangular shaped Kresge library, which looks like a giant alien when viewed from the corner, there is the Simmons Hall with its "cheese hole" entry roof, the very pointy building of the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Killian Court with the classical dome and, of course, the famous Stata Building by Gehry, where no angle is straight.
And along with that come a number of unique art installations, such as the famous Alchemist structure made up of numbers, some installed long ago, some others temporary, you never know what you might find!
If that's not enough, there are some industrial views, exhaust stacks emitting fumes and the Cambridge waterfront with views on the Boston skyline.
You can make this an all-encompassing 2 mile roundtrip, or choose to cut it short and do only some of the attractions.
Bring super wide to medium zoom lenses, maybe a fisheye or even a shift lens, your tripod with mounting plate, intervalometer and good walking shoes. It will be mostly cloudy, in the low 70s and dry. A near-full moon might peak out behind the clouds.
Easy to get around, well lit and busy area. Beginners to Advanced.
For inspiration, take a look at an older Meetup in this location.
No guests, as always.
