Skyline Views

We will be photographing the New York and Jersey City skylines from the Jersey side. There are many excellent vantage points to get different views of the city, but they are spread out. The pillars of old piers are particularly interesting for the foreground and there are lots of them.

This will be a 2-3 mile walk (or less if you decide to cut it short). We can take the bus back to the parking. Alternatively, you can keep drive hopping, but that involves a lot of finding parking. I've done this before and it is comfortable to do over 3 hours.

Bring wide angle, medium zoom and a longer zoom lens, something like a 70-200 or 24-120 / 24-200 to zoom in on details across the water, but the skyline panoramas will be the main object.

Forecast is for 65F and 50% clouds, so we will get good cloud streaks. Dress in layers, it might get chilly along the water.

Make sure to check in with the organizer on time, as we will start moving pretty soon. I will post my phone number in the comments for texting and getting / staying together.

At the end, we can drive up to another vantage point, which is elevated and better to capture Midtown Manhattan.
