Let's go shoot the full moon rise behind the Boston city skyline! If past experience is any guide, this one will be popular with other folks, too, so get there early.

See this meetup here for some photos: Prior meetup

NOTE: this is highly dependent on cloud conditions, so watch the comments for details! We may cancel the event if the weather is not clear enough, but the forecast trend this week has been clearer and clearer.

This will be a full moon rising behind the right tower of the Zakim Bridge. The featured photo is from the app, PlanIt Pro, and it shows the exact alignment we can expect at around 8:11
pm.

See the location and "How to find us" section for relevant details.

Composition/Shooting: The moon is rising 27 minutes after sunset in the middle of the blue hour. Basically, optimal timing for moon photos. (If you interested in moon streaks, see Jurgen's blog post for more info).

Suggested equipment:
Zoom lenses of 200mm or greater to capture the telephoto views of the city/moon. 400mm+ is better, as the city is about 7 miles away.

After:
After the moon clears the area your moon streak, shoot a much shorter exposure of the city and combine the two images with sky replace.

Forecast is 40+F. Dress appropriately.

Please check in with the organizer and no guests, as always.
