Elephants on Commonwealth Avenue
Details
Good for any level of skill: Well lit city location.
This is an installation of 100 elephant sculptures along the grassy sections of Commonwealth Ave from Arlington Street to Gloucester Street. Streets in Back Bay are alphabetical, so this means six blocks, with plenty of room to spread out.
Not sure how much ambient light there will be, but this has the potential for light painting, double exposures and other creative approaches.
Shadows may also provide some interest.
This exhibit is free, and is in place until 9/13.
We are going during the week because it might mean less traffic and fewer people.
Park in the garage under the Common, and then a just a short walk to our meeting place in the public garden by the George Washington statue.
Wide angle lenses, medium telephotos, fisheyes, anything goes.
Check in with organizer first and no guests please.
