This is a fun lantern light show at the Franklin Park Zoo. This year's themes include flora and fauna of coastal South Africa, the Grand Canyon, and big cats such as jaguars. These
large displays are set up along a 1.5 mile loop in the zoo. Photograph the displays, use double exposure or intentional camera motion, lots of creativity here!

We have permission to bring tripods, but we will need
to be mindful not to get in the way of others.
Good for any level of skill. Well lit public area.
Wide angle lenses and fisheyes will work well, but the trusty 24-70 is always a good all-around lens.

To minimize crowds and traffic, we have chosen a midweek date.
It is also the cheapest night. Tickets are $22, you need to purchase your own ticket ahead of the date here. The meetup is scheduled for two hours, but you can stay until closing at 10:30 PM.

There is free parking in the lots at the Giraffe and Zebra Circuit/Drive entrances, we meet at Giraffe. If the lots are full you can park along the road outside the entrance. There is room to do so.

The Zoo publicity department would like to have us submit images for publication. We will select them from and share the link to the photos that are uploaded by everyone for this event (you can decline if you want).

Dress in layers and wear good walking shoes. Food is available for purchase.
Please check in with the organizer first and as always no guests.
