This week some of us will be focussing on controlling Dot Matrix Displays with Arduinos. These are purchasable here from Steve's online store (http://gctechshop.com/products/dmd-dot-matrix-display-32x16), and some stocks are held at the TechSpace.
General SIG info ...
This is run on the same night as Open Night but utilizing the front section of the TechSpace building, and starting half an hour later, so after newcomers have been awestruck by the other TechSpace activities, they can sit in and marvel at what we are doing with Arduinos.
This SIG is NOT be a talk fest. Participants take an active part andwith their Arduinos out and either working with someone else or demoing something to the group.
The Arduino SIG is free for TechSpace members and first-time visitors, or $10 for others. You can join the TechSpace on the night.
Our main group projects are for exhibiting at the Gold Coast show in August - but this doesn't preclude people from coming and doing other things - everyone is equally accessible no matter what they are working on.
