Exploring SOBIESZEWO ISLAND in Gdańsk on a public holiday

🌊 You're Invited to explore SOBIESZEWO ISLAND in Gdańsk on your day off (Aug 15 is a public holiday)
Something for nature lovers for sure with the forest, the sea, sandy beach, riverside views over the local marina and a chance to find a real Baltic amber

🎯 Trip Highlights:

• Riverside marina walk
• The seaside forest walk (leading to the beach)
• Relaxing at the several kilometres wide sandy beach with optional swimming
• Stopping for ice creams, a meal etc on our way back from the beach to the village center; there will be also an opportunity to buy a pure Baltic amber from local amber sellers (Sobieszewo Island remains number one location in Gdansk for finding natural amber on the beach, particularly after the storms)

📅 Date: Friday (public holiday), August 15, 2025 (weather depending)

⏰ Time: 11.15 am (half-day trip)

🚍 Meeting Point: Bus stop “Srodmiescie SKM 03” which is above the ground of the Srodmiescie SKM train station;
we will then take a fast bus #612 at 11:25am (it runs every hour); regular Gdansk ZTM ticket (4.80pln) can be purchased from the ticket machine, via apps or onboard via FALA using your bank card. If you have Gdansk monthly ticket, please note that it does NOT apply to this route and you still need to purchase a single use ticket, as the bus enters non-Gdansk areas
