Bezawork Tilahun Mindaye, Co-Organizer

With great distinction, Bezawork completed her bachelor's degree in information systems. She has a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Bahir Dar University, with a specialization in Deep Learning in Medical Imaging. Her research Interest includes Data-Centric AI, Semi-Supervised Learning Computer Vision, and Human-Centered AI. Bezawork works at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology as a lecturer and BiT maker space lead. She teaches Human-Computer Interaction and other Computing courses, as well as mentoring students' research and projects. She also leads a research group at the ICT4D Research Centre as a Principal Investigator on a Machine Learning project. She is Google's Women TechMakers Ambassador and Google Developers Group Bahir Dar co-organizer. In addition, she operates as a program grantee for American Spaces Ethiopia at Bahir Dar American Corner. She also volunteers at Open Hearts Big Dreams, a non-profit situated in the United States. She aspires to be a Social Entrepreneur and thus participate in the Digital Innovation Ecosystem, which will ultimately support long-term development. She is excited to work with worldwide professionals and people from various backgrounds.
