What we're about

Cambridge, Boston and Metro, Google Developer Group welcomes all developer enthusiasts of Google tech and other advanced technologies. Although we currently host in Cambridge & Boston, we got our beginnings in 2009 as the Boston GTUG in the suburb of Waltham. We bring together experts and beginners alike to discuss a wide array of topics related to Google technologies and writing code that uses Google product APIs. We hold the occasional hackfest, and we get involved in Google developer challenge events.

Follow us on Twitter (@BostonGDG (https://twitter.com/#!/BostonGDG)) and add us on Google+ (https://plus.google.com/s/gdg%20boston) . Some of our talks will be posted as Hangout On Air videos to our G+ feed.

We typically hold meetings in Kendall Square at the offices of Google Cambridge, but please see our G+ feed for specific details of each event. We currently require attendees to RSVP in this Meetup group.

Our meetings are always free and open to the general public. We will sometimes co-host joint meetings with other Boston-area Meetup groups.

Disclaimer: GDG Boston is an independent group; our activities and the opinions expressed here should in no way be linked to Google, the corporation.

Needs a location

This will be an invite-only working session based on a survey that we will send by Wednesday, February 20, 2019. During the session, we will focus on creating a roadmap and structure for delivering education in advanced computing technologies that is interesting, rewarding and professionally relevant. We will also discuss how we can utilize the existing 501 (c) 3 educational non-profit corporation that we can use as a financial vehicle for extended programs.
