Github questions, Angle Hack this Weekend and new organizer role to manage GDG communications and social media

Hi folks,

GIthub questions.

If you are an active contributor to a multi-contributor open source project I'd like your help. I'm writing a story using data supplied to me by Github about open source projects. I'm looking for short concise comments to the following questions to emphasize a few points to CIOs. I wrote about a very cool interview with Kakul Srivastava head of Product at Github a while back that I want to expand upon. Here's the questions.

1. How do good open source projects on Github maintain quality? I have some ideas but all my experience is in enterprises.

2. Projects sometimes have controversy, usually about direction and priorities. What is it about the opensource, voluntary, and collaborative community that good open source projects use to manage through to make good choices?

Please include a link to your project and  whether or not you want to be directly quoted. I'll wrap this by 4PM today.  Thank you.

Angelhack this weekend @Kayak

GDG Boston communications and social media organizer position

My GDG Boston organizer colleagues are a gifted team of developers and organize in an Agile-like way.

The role

Monitor developing events valuable to the community and communicate both GDG and other related community events.

Figure out Meetup SEO - How can we serve SIGS with keywords may not be discovered through meetup without special attention.

Choose other social media that our community uses.

If you are interested in this organizing role, please reply with a short email with your thoughts.

Thanks for interrupting your day to read all the way to here.

Best

Steven
