On November 27th, GDG Budapest is highlighting a uniquely entertaining developer event taking place in Budapest: a mini-hackathon blended with stand-up comedy, all centered around the wonderfully painful world of serialization and deserialization.

Hosted by Adroit Group, this session invites participants to build the most cursed, bizarre, and intentionally inconvenient data formats they can imagine. Think JSON or XML but aggressively worse. Expect creative chaos, lots of laughs, and formats that would make any IDE question its life choices.

Attendance is free, but registration on the external event link is required.

Our challenge?

You'll craft a custom format complete with an encoder and decoder so bizarre, even the bravest IDE would shudder! Whether it's binary, weird text formats, or something even more obscure, bring your sense of humor and coding wit to mess up what others consider neat and logical.

🗓️ Date: November 27th, 2025

📍 Location: DBH Flexspace H20, 2nd floor, 1134 Budapest, Váci út 23-27

🎒 Bring your laptop, your coding spirit, and some friends for an unforgettable evening of fun and failure.

We've got the jokes and the challenges - all we need is you! Don't miss out on the adventure, laughs, and a chance to meet like-minded code enthusiasts. See you there! 🚀
