We have a lot to catch up on! An Introduction & Plans for 2021

Welcome to the Official Google Developer Group GCP for Lubbock Texas.
You are welcome to join our group and attend at your leisire. This Google Developer Group (GDG) has been established as an opportunity to get acquainted with other local software developers, developer operations (DevOps) professionals, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) professionals and anyone interesed in learning about the Google Cloud Platform and software development.

For these first events, let's meet at the link below. At some point very soon, we should start to have in person meetings, if you are open to such. Participating with this group is going to focus on being primarily educational, while making it as entertaining as possible. You can expect that our group will have at least one monthly meeting either online or in a social environment.

About me: I am a web app developer using many of Google's products and services. Current tech stack: Google Cloud Platform, Ionic, Angular, Capacitor, Firebase, D3, Twillio, Stripe and other JavaScript/Typescript libraries (including React). I spend all day, every day utilizing and counting on Google products. Everyone has access to these amazing tools which have a $0 cost of entry; and instead the only costs are the time to learn how to use them. That is one of the reasons why I founded the GDG Lubbock chapter. My goals include providing a resource to those who are interested in the industry and those who have recently entered into this rewarding industry in order to reduce the barrior to entry and to help reduce occurance of the dreaded "imposter syndrome". Also, I see the benefits of having a group to collaborate with both in order to advance our own positions and to establish ourselves as a local group of experts in this field.
