Patty O'Callaghan, Organizer

Patty is a Venezuelan living in Scotland. She has +20 years of experience in the tech industry and a background education in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. She is a Technical Director and Head of AI Architecture and Engineering Group at Charles River Laboratories.

Patty is a member of the Google Developer Advisory Board, an organiser at Google Developers Group Glasgow, serves as an Ambassador for Google's Women Techmakers, and is recognised as a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Artificial Intelligence.

She is very passionate about AI and loves sharing her knowledge and expertise with others, frequently giving talks and technical workshops on various technologies and topics related to it, especially Web Machine Learning.

Hi I'm Lucy, I'm studying Software Development at Glasgow Caledonian University. I'm a student mentor for GCU. Alongside my studies I teach a coding club twice a week in Glasgow for young people aged between 10-16, where they learn the fundamentals of programming varied from Python, HTML, CSS and SQL. From June 2024- December 2024 I was an Epicor ERP Programmer Intern at Sivers Photonics.

Lewis Shearer, GDG Glasgow Youth Team Leader

Lewis Shearer is the Youth Team Lead at Google Developer Group Glasgow and runs a school code club, inspiring others to explore technology and innovation. He is deeply passionate about artificial intelligence and studying the underlying theory of how machine learning models learn and make decisions. Lewis enjoys sharing his knowledge through talks and technical workshops on a range of emerging technologies and AI-related topics.

Outside of tech he enjoys traveling and is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys football, running, and golf.

Hi I'm Sophie!

I'm currently a first year student at Strathclyde University studying a MEng in Computer Science. I'm a Google Women's Techmaker and an organiser of GDG Glasgow.
I'm currently the Vice President of Strathclydes Coding Society and a lead organiser of StrathHack 2023. I'm a volunteer with Impact Arts, helping older people learn how to use phones and iPads.

I'm passionate about UI/UX and web design and want to learn more about these areas.

Vinamra Sharma, PGT Student

Vinamra is a PhD student at the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow, where he is conducting research on AI Compilers under the supervision of Dr. José Cano Reyes. Alongside his doctoral studies, he works as an AI Engineer at Unineed Limited, developing end-to-end AI systems.

During his Master’s degree at the University of Glasgow (2022–2023), Vinamra specialized in Edge AI (On-Device Learning) and had the opportunity to collaborate with Danilo Pietro Pau from STMicroelectronics, in addition to Dr. José Cano Reyes. Prior to that, he earned his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (2018–2022) from Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology, India, under the guidance of Dr. Vishal Kumar.

In his spare time, Vinamra actively participates in hackathons around the world, where he enjoys building cross-domain applications and exploring emerging technologies. To date, he has won over 65 awards and prizes, taken part in more than 110 hackathons, and collaborated with over 550 individuals from 38+ countries.
