For two decades, the web has been designed exclusively for human eyes and cursor clicks. With agentic AI rapidly becoming a primary web consumer, our approach to interface design, state management, and authentication must adapt.

This talk introduces WebMCP: the emerging standard that allows AI agents to discover, understand, and invoke web services securely. We’ll explore how WebMCP redefines human-computer interaction, compare it against legacy headless scrapers and brittle tool-calling setups, and discuss the architectural patterns engineering teams should adopt today to build for tomorrow's agentic ecosystem.
