This will be an in-person event at the Melbourne Google Office, with the recording of the talks to be shared afterward on YouTube if you can't make it.

There will be food, networking, and some surprise swag!

6:30 - Generative Transformation from ER Diagram to Graph Model Using Google’s Gemini Pro by Joshua Yu

7:00 - Break

7:10 - Selling Shovels in the AI Gold Rush by Dheerendra Nath

7:25 - Intro to function calling with Gemini, use generative AI to talk to your APIs and data by Patrick Haralabidis

8:00 till late - networking & chat (& drinks optional)

Speakers:

Joshua Yu (Principal Architect, APAC at Neo4j)
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Joshua is a Principal Architect specializing in graph databases, knowledge graphs, and related technical solutions. His journey with Neo4j began in 2017, where he served as a Field Engineering Lead and then Director for APAC. These roles honed his technical and leadership capabilities. Joshua possesses expertise in navigating complex technical landscapes and driving innovative data solutions that meet diverse client needs across the Asia-Pacific region.

Dheerendra Nath (Principal Engineer @ Mantel)
Dheerendra is an avid proponent of data-backed decision-making with a flair for big data, analytics, and business intelligence. He is passionate about designing well-architected modern software solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. Dheerendra loves architecting enterprise solutions and enjoys coding to solve complex technical and business problems.
On a day-to-day basis, he leads architecture, solution design, and development to solve complex real-world problems involving Big Data, speed, volume, and scale. A strong advocate for automation, Dheerendra implements it across infrastructure, patterns, reports, and configuration.
Deeply inspired by Google's SRE philosophy, Dheerendra has a strong focus on operational excellence and maintainability, which are essential to any modern software solution. Bringing together his experience with DevOps, big data, and large-scale distributed applications, he strives to build secure and highly scalable modern data solutions for businesses with automation at its core.
Dheerendra strongly believes in influential leadership and enjoys training and mentoring. He regularly conducts training sessions, participates in hackathons, publishes blogs, and speaks at community events such as GDGs, DataEngConf, Opsworld, and similar cloud computing and big data conferences.

Enter from Collins St, and head up to level 1. The lifts should be unlocked until 7 pm. Please arrive on time as once the talks begin, you may not be admitted into the venue.
