About us
Leading the next chapter of the Silicon Valley engineering community, GDG Sunnyvale is a long-standing cornerstone for technical innovation and collaborative growth. Our mission is to advance the engineering discourse at the intersection of software and the physical world—specifically where the Google ecosystem meets the emerging frontiers of Robotics and Physical AI. As a premier hub in the heart of the South Bay, we connect developers, researchers, and product leaders with the tools and "ground truth" insights needed to bridge the gap between foundational development and the hardware-software frontier.

Design Night! Code 2 CAD With Antigravity CLI
Circuit Launch Mountain View, 599 Fairchild Drive, Mountain View, CA, USIMPORTANT NOTE: MUST REGISTER THROUGH THIS LINK: https://gdg.community.dev/e/mj6fkf/

This is a wild jamming session. No 3D modeling skills needed. Pair up, use Google tools to build the files, and prep your demo for DevFest - or just have pizza, cheer on your peers and enjoy great networking!Never designed a 3D part or built a robot? You're in good company.
Join GDG Sunnyvale at Circuit Launch for a fun, hands-on design night where we team up to brute-force a working mini desk robot arm from scratch or at least start to. Instead of spending weeks learning complex 3D modeling software, we’re using Google tools and terminal AI (Antigravity CLI) to turn plain-English descriptions into ready-to-print 3D files.
We won't be running loud 3D printers tonight. Instead, we’ll grab some pizza, sit around folding tables with our laptops, figure out how robot joints and moving parts fit together, and lock in our project plans. The goal: team up to design your arm tonight, spend the next month building it, and show off a working creation live at DevFest on October 1at CL!- Zero Experience Required: If you can describe what a desk arm should do (grab a fidget toy, wave, hold a sensor), you have all the skills you need.
- Pizza: Fuel up while you brainstorm and build with peers.
- DevFest Ready: Leave with the digital design and a clean game plan to show the design or actually print, assemble, and demo your project with your team next month.
Checklist Before You Arrive:
- Fully charged laptop + power cable: Table plugs fill up fast, so start with 100% battery.
- Google Cloud Free Account: Make sure you sign up beforehand at cloud.google.com/free so you’re ready to jump straight into the tools.
- Bring Your Ideas & Hardware
Have servos, microcontrollers, or rough sketches lying around? Bring them along!
This is an open jamming session. It could turn into a real 3D-printed robot arm you build over the next month (you grab the off-the-shelf parts, and we’ll help you figure out the mechanics), or simply a wild project you never thought you could pull off and can proudly share on LinkedIn. Make sure your 3D model looks sharp either way!
For the most committed builders ready to bring their physical demo to life, we'll provide hands-on guidance on sourcing hardware and getting your design cleanly 3D-printed.
