Manual Testing for Accessibility Enhancement

Details
Manual Testing
Manual testing is simply the be-all and end-all of making a website and web application accessible.
It also clearly shows the skills of designers and developers whether they really understand the website they have created and the tools they are using. If not, there is only one way: Improve to become an Accessibility Master.
During the webinar I will show you how to use a screen reader, what to look out for when using it, and how to find and fix errors. Afterwards, you'll hardly be able to wait to browse the next page with a screen reader. I will also show that not everything works the way you thought it would, even though you wrote the code exactly according to the documentation.
How amazing the web and technology is.
Focus: Screen Reader (VoiceOver on MacOS), semantic HTML and ARIA
Target audience: Everyone (Project Managers, Designers), especially Developers and Testers
Accessibility Webinar Series is the new format here at GDG Vienna. Hosted by Julia Undeutsch, every 4th Thursday of the month a new topic in the field of accessibility will be presented, which should help beginners and intermediate accessibility advocates to become more familiar with accessibility in design, development and testing.
At the end of the series, participants can look forward to a live event directly in Vienna, which will be held in autumn.
Events are held in English and last between 60-90 minutes. Afterwards, the speakers will be available for a Q&A. Questions can be asked in English or German. Questions can be asked about the respective presentation but also about accessibility in general.
Recording, slides and article can be found afterwards on the event page and on Accessibility First.
