We are proud to announce our next meetup which will be held together with Terminal Zagreb (https://www.meetup.com/terminal-zg/) user group!

All of us, are sometimes forced to run the dreaded GUI applications! Josip will guides us on how to do it safely and securely, by keeping the evil imprisoned in the container by the Docker daemon!

Dockerizing Java/GUI Applications

One of the main founding ideas of Docker is to achieve that the environment used for application development is as similar as possible to the production one. That's not a simple task when development consists of using GUI applications (such as Eclipse). Josip played a bit and has managed to create such a setup. In this talk he will briefly explain the motivation behind it, obstacles he encountered and experience he's gained working on that solution.

In this session you are all invited to do short ~5 minutes talks to showoff some cool stuff you did, start a debate on some topic or anything else related to the topic. :)

Terminal tips'n'tricks

Robert will show a short demo how to deploy home setup (.bashrc, .vimrc, .tmux.conf, bash complete...) to multiple servers in a heartbeat!

After the meetup, you're all welcome to discuss which application deserves the most of Docker daemon punishment, possibly with a beer in your hand at the Kolding bar nearby!
