The Good Eats & Meets and The Go Social Club are at it again!
Presenting our next BIG event - The Second Annual Chili Cook Off & Block Party.
Here are some of the highlights so far-
•Your get a taste of any and all the chili's for only $12...$2 of which will be donated to a local charity...The North Mecklenburg Aminal Rescue
•Amateur & Pro Categories w/Cash Prizes & Trophies*-$25 entrance fee per chili entered (The Pot will be split amongst the winning entries.
•Two Categories-Traditional Beef & Bean(you can also do beef only) & A Specialty Category (specialty of your choice and can encompass any ingredients)
There will be 5 total winners. One winner for each category for Amateurs and one winner for each category for Pros. Then, there will be a PEOPLE'S CHOICE all around BEST CHILI winner that attendees with pick!
•Free Beer Pong Tournament w/FREE BEER! Teams of two will compete until we have a winner! We will have a nice prize for the winning team!
•Cornhole & Skee Ball
•Drink Specials-Lots of ICE COLD Beer!
•Music-We will be having a great live band
Parking - we will be using the parking lot for the cookoff but there is plenty of parking in and around the neighborhoods close by.

Information for those entering-
-Amateur & Pro Categories w/Cash Prizes & Trophies*-$25 entrance fee per chili entered (The Pot will be split amongst the winning entries).
-WE NEED TO KNOW BY Monday the 10th of May that you are competing
-Check in will start at 10 am the day of the Cook Off-Tables and tents will be provided by Jack's(with set up included) for $30 or you can provide your own-need to know by the 10th if you need tent and table.
-Chili can be brought finished to the event (preferable)-try and provide you own heating source-I will have a few portable stoves available
-You can enter as many chili's-let me know by the 10th
-Looking for at least 3 gallons of chili for the pros and at least 1 gallon-hopefully more for the amateurs,as it will increase your chance of winning(I will be providing portion cups, which we will be using to serve the chili)
-You should be able to provide a means of serving(utensils), heating unit(we will be providing a grill to heat the chili), a table(if you have one), a chafing dish(if you have one) and a smile for the guests of the event! You will get one wristband per table as part of your being part of the cook off. Additional wristbands for your table will be half off. I will need to know what you need ASAP, in order to make arrangements.
-You can promote your restaurant and or business at the event in any way you see fit(flyers, giveaways, etc). You will need at least one person manning your area serving and talking to the crowd-Talk up you Chili up for a chance to win the PEOPLE'S CHOICE!
*Cash prizes will be based on number of teams entering

The Cost of 27.08 includes the $25 for ONE chili and the service charges for Pay Pal. Please pay that to register if you are cooking. If you are making more than one type of chili, simply add another $25 per each chili entering. Thanks.
