#### Welcome to the Gearhouse's Intro to Backpacking Series, where we aim to answer all your questions on how and where to get started backpacking.
Part 2: Food and water are two of the most important aspects of backpacking, and this session will equip you with the knowledge to stay well-fed and hydrated on the trail. We’ll explore different cooking methods, from lightweight stove systems to no-cook meal options, and discuss how to plan meals that are nutritious (sometimes delicious) and easy to prepare.
Additionally, we’ll cover the various ways to treat water in the backcountry, from filtration to chemical purification, ensuring you stay safe and hydrated no matter where your adventure takes you.
