NoSQL Ring Architecture

Details
These time we will talk about NoSQL Ring Architecture. Famous implementations are Cassandra and Riak. We will have talks to both of them. And of course free Beer & Pizza ;-)
Apache Cassandra is the de facto standard database for IoT services. It offers linear scalability for data velocity and volume, while providing fault tolerance of servers, racks and even data centres. Its wide-row storage engine model is perfect for time series data and the internet enterprise. This talk will cover these technical capabilities of Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise, followed by some interesting use-cases.
Christian Johannsen is a Solutions Engineer at DataStax, covering the DACH region. Christian was an integration and automationspecialist in the virtualisation space and wanted to get more involved with the BigData scene. As an integration specialist he workeda lot with API´s and data exchange formats what now allows him to help customers integrate with Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise.
Riak at Wooga. Wooga have several millions of users. It have different teams and none sysadmin. Each team builds from zero the backend, allowing us to try new technologies. We have being using riak for more than a year in several projects in production. This talk will cover our learnings with this NoSQL Database.
Guillermo Álvarez. Born in Madrid, Spain he moved 3 years ago to Berlin where we start working at Wooga. He have more than 15 years of experience in CS. Even if his role during the last years have been a developer, right now is moving into project management, and product development.
