Target shooting at Wyoming Antelope Club Florida

Details
** *****Please read the entire post********
This will be a chance to go out and do some target shooting. I'm not part of the Antelope club this is just an open range anyone may shoot at.**
There is a $20 fee to shoot at the range
This is a limited event primarily for those that don’t know how to shoot. If you are looking for full instructions about how to shoot, most ranges will have full courses and beginner friendly nights. If you have your own firearm, please feel free to bring it, in a closed carrying case and your ammo. This range has a small shop for targets which can be purchased at most outdoor stores (yes, Walmart has a small selection of ammunition)
This will also be limited to people i have met a few times, don’t need any crazy people wielding firearms.
1. Please where proper attire and equipment to the range regardless of if you are shooting your own or someone else's firearm.
- This includes proper Hearing protection, Safety glasses, Closed toed shoes, Comfortable clothing (this is an outdoor range with a roof so you might not get wet, but you may feel uncomfortable depending on the temperatures.).
- If you will be using someone else's firearm please talk with them beforehand so you may buy the proper ammunition. No, we will not be supplying you with free ammo, that shit isn't cheap
2. There are two stages at the range Hot and Cold
Hot - Shooters are active, you may touch your weapon, setup, pack-up, load, and fire your weapon at this time. If you finish shooting early you may get up and wait in the back or sit at the firing station. When you are done firing make sure your weapon is cleared, ideally cocked back revealing an empty chamber so the range instructor may clear your station. This is also the time if you wish to pack up and leave.
Cold - Shooters should be behind the safety line (usually a yellow line behind the firing area). Shooters shouldn’t touch their weapons during this time. No loading, no touching, generally stay away from your weapon. This is the time if you need to replace your target that you will get the all clear to walk down range.
3. General safety
- Don’t ever point your firearm at another person
- Only shoot at the target in your lane
- If you have a jam and you don't feel comfortable clearing your weapon, set down the weapon and wave down the range guide and have them assist you
- Always listen to the range guide, if they have to yell at you more than 2 times there is a good chance you will be booted from the range
- While the range is hot have eye and ear protection on, guns are loud and if hot brass hits you in the face it’s never fun
- Use common sense, if you think something is stupid it probably is
4. If you need a firearm please post a comment ahead of time, so we can direct you to the type of ammo you will need to purchase.
5. If you need a general firearms safety course, i can set up a time to host another safety course
These are the ranges rules please follow them
- No shooting is permitted on any range unless there is a Range Officer present and in control.
- Ear and eye protection are mandatory for anyone on the concrete pad when the line is hot.
- No Shotguns are permitted on the Public Lines
