RPG Sunday - D4 miniconvention

It is in early October when Dave Arneson was born. The creator of modern fantasy role-playing games. He along with the rest of the Minnesota gaming community helped create what became Dungeons & Dragons. It was in full written rules by the time they approached Gary Gygax a couple years later to form the game, at least with that title because the game was already written. It's source in origin was through the role playing side of their gaming. Chainmail had yet to come in to being by the time they were already forming rules. We are gathering as event zero for our eventual convention.

You could potential he learn more from the upcoming movie Secrets of Blackmoor. Movie that may change a lot of peoples assumptions about the beginning of the role playing game origin.

United Geeks of Gaming has a day for role playing games! This meetup will be on the first and third Sundays of every month, usually in 106 & 106A, and will run noon to 8pm, long enough for a decent session.
