Book Club: "Red Rising"

We're reading the first book in one of my absolute favorite sci-fi adventure series, "Red Rising" by Pierce Brown.

Summary: Darrow is a Red, one of the miners who toils below the surface of Mars to ready the planet for habitation. But he, and all those of his Color who slave away in the mines, have been told a lie. At the top of the multicolored Society are Golds, the decadent ruling class that lives in luxury while the Reds fend off starvation.

Driven by loss, Darrow leaves his Red life behind and joins a rebellion, tasked with infiltrating the strict hierarchy of the Golds and rising to power so that he may destroy the Society from within.

Where to get it: You can borrow the ebook and audiobook with a library card through Hoopla and Libby. I like the dramatized version but the regular audiobook is good, too!
