Book Club: "Furies of Calderon"

We're reading "Furies of Calderon" by Jim Butcher (author of the Dresden Files), the first in a six-part finished fantasy series. Since this is a long one, we will be discussing the first half, and finishing in September. Finishing that part is encouraged but not required, as long as you don't mind overhearing spoilers.

The summary:

More context: An online writing argument led someone to challenge Jim Butcher to prove that execution matters more than a cheesy concept. So he took on a challenge to write a book based on two terrible prompts: a classic Roman legion setup with a Pokemon twist. The results may surprise you.
