Inspired by the Gamers with Jobs community. This is a safe haven for those of us who grew up with games and geek culture seeking like minded friends for conversation and to grow a community.
Despite the name you do not need to have a job to join.
Most events will be gaming night events online with some in person events with time.
The main communication platform for this group is Discord as it keeps discussion clean from clutter and provides members the safety of communicating without revealing names or phone numbers.

For those who don't know anything about Parkruns, it is a free 5km run that happens in parks worldwide that starts at 8am on Saturdays, there are many courses in South Africa (and other countries). Generally you will see people doing it anything from 15 minutes to 1 hour, so even those who have never done any such thing can take it easy and walk it. It is free to take part, you can create a free account from which you get a barcode that lets them scan your result on their site.This link will provide you with more details, and also where you create an account and barcode: https://www.parkrun.co.za/ If it goes well, I hope to see other such Parkrun events at other locations in Gauteng.
