I hope you will join me for what will be a very interesting Wine Event highlighting local wines of our area.

Wine Geelong (the local industry body) in conjunction with Geelong Cellar Door in Lt Mallop st are tasting the sub regions or GIs of Geelong over multiple Thursday evenings where you will exclusively taste wines from these Sub Regions or GI’s in this case I’m interested in checking out the Otway GI subregion held on THURSDAY 3rd of JULY

Tickets are limited to approximately 50 people and can be purchased for $45+booking fee which includes a $15 vochuer for use at Geelong Cellar Door with the link below:

You may know that wine areas around the world are classified into areas called Geographical Indicators or GI’s for short, these GI’s help delineate what is where you maybe familiar with GI’s such as Champagne or Burgundy, what you might not be familiar with is that our Geelong region has its own GI’s:-

There are four levels to Australian Geographical Indications. Within these four levels, Geelong’s GI is defined as:

1. States or Territories: VICTORIA
2. Zones: Port Phillip
3. Region: Geelong
4. Sub Regions: Surfcoast/Otways, Moorabool Valley, The Bellarine

• Pre-purchased ticket required for entry
• Please only RSVP if you have purchased a ticket.
• You are most welcome to taste along with me on the evening or do your own thing
• I will be starting at 5:30 at the beginning of the event and I bear no responsibility for late comers who miss out on wines because they are late to the event.
• This is a not a closed meetup event and members of the public will be attending.

I strongly suggest those attending arrange public transport or uber in.

We will most likely head to a venue latter for dinner and or more wine! 🍷
