What we’re about
# A cultural collective in Paris to dive into society, ideas, art, and the curious corners of life.
## What We Do
We meet to discuss what matters. Current events. Cultural shifts. Politics. Society. Pop culture. Technology. Whatever's dominating the conversation or deserves more attention.
We meet a few times a month:
- Coffee and the Paper (Saturday mornings) – We sit down with the week's headlines and ideas. What's happening in culture, politics, the world.
- The Monday Debrief (Monday evenings) – Conversations about whatever's topical that week. Could be an election, a new film everyone's talking about, a social trend, a piece of writing that landed weird. We pick topics fresh each time based on what's actually relevant.
## Format
Our discussions are informal, moderated, not prepared, non-academic/jargony. Everything happens in English.
## Who's Here
We're ~700 members now, mostly expats, Parisians, students, people between things, people who miss substantive conversation. This isn't a networking group or a language exchange.
Future direction
We're building toward something bigger – a space where culture becomes the thread that connects people across cities. Eventually, Gelato au Citron will run on monthly themes (solitude, technology, identity, love – the kinds of subjects that shape how we live) explored through books, films, art, and personal reflection. You'll follow a conceptual and physical itinerary for the month, and contribute your own interpretations. Think of it as cultural curation meets community dialogue.
There's a €5 annual contribution to cover costs (coffee, materials, logistics).
