About us

Feeling left behind on AI? You're not alone — and this group is built for you.

Most AI meetups in Sydney are designed for developers and data scientists. This one is different. GenAI for Business Users Sydney is a monthly, in-person community for marketers, salespeople, finance teams, operations managers, HR professionals, and anyone who wants to use AI in their role — without writing a single line of code.

What to expect each month:

A practical talk or case study showing how real business teams are using AI today

Frameworks for calculating AI ROI — so you can build the business case your leadership actually needs

Strategies for driving AI adoption and managing change across teams and departments

A hands-on workshop where you'll build something useful with no-code tools like Snowflake, ChatGPT, Canva AI, Lovable, and n8n, Cusor.

A "Tiny Experiment" — a 5-minute AI task you can try at work the following week.

Honest Q&A and networking with other business professionals navigating the same learning curve

Each session focuses on a different business function — Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations — so you'll always find something relevant to your role. Alongside the function-specific content, we explore how to measure the value AI brings to your team and how to get buy-in from stakeholders who are sceptical or slow to change.

Who this is for:

Business professionals curious about AI but unsure where to start

Team leads and managers who need to justify AI investment and lead adoption across their teams

Anyone who's sat through a "technical AI talk" and thought "but what do I actually do with this?"

No technical background required. Seriously.

Who this is NOT for:

This isn't a coding workshop or an LLM engineering group

If you're looking for deep technical AI/ML content, check out Sydney AI or AICamp — they're great for that
