For Parents/Caregivers of Trans/Gender-Diverse Children and Teens

Hello everyone!

Please join me and my colleague, Dr. John Strang, Director of the Gender and Autism Program at Children's National Hospital for a FREE 1-hour "COMMUNITY LEARNING SESSION for PARENTS/CAREGIVERS of TRANSGENDER AND GENDER EXPLORING CHILDREN and TEENS."

Providers are also welcome!

This is the first of three 1-hour zoom sessions during October/November 2022. We will be focusing on the following topics surrounding trans and neurodivergent children and adolescents:

• Autism and gender diversity
• Education
• Trans-affirming medical care
• Celebrating the lived experiences of trans folks
• Q&A - ask the panel!

This FIRST of three sessions will be dedicated to the intersection of gender diversity and autism/neurodivergence.

Dr. Strang and Dr. Harriett Wimms will be on the panel to discuss AND answer audience questions. I will be facilitating the zoom and helping to get your questions to our discussion panel.

We are making time at the end of the session for audience questions!

Keep an eye out for upcoming zooms (11/5 at 10am, and 11/14 at 7pm). Each zoom will focus on specific topics related to affirming transgender care for youths.

Much is happening right now in research, education and advocacy surrounding these timely topics. All are welcome to attend as we continue to expand our knowledge and support of trans and autistic/neurodivergent children and teens.
