Welcome to edition 11 of the Generative AI Belgium Meetup! 🚀

Join us on June 16, at the Wintercircus, Lammerstraat 13 in Ghent, to discuss whether art is dead and everything is fake, or if AI is actually making us more creative.

We’ve all seen our timelines flood with Studio Ghibli-style AI images, songs generated in mere seconds and even “video” is crossing the uncanny valley to become a creative commodity. The classic AI experiments and proof of concepts make room for actual use in marketing, content creation and artistic practice.

This forces us to ask: is AI making us more creative, or is art truly dead?

In this edition, we dive into the blurry line between human creativity, AI slop, and the question of what’s real or fake. We’ll explore how Generative AI is reshaping artistic expression, what authenticity means in the age of synthesis, and whether originality is evolving or eroding as so many types of media are becoming commoditised.
