After an energizing event last month, GenAI Montréal is keeping the momentum going with something special. This time again, we’re teaming up with The AI Collective to bring you a fresh dose of real talk, real tools, and real results in the world of Generative AI.
Let’s be honest — the AI space is crowded. Tools are everywhere. Claims are loud. But what actually works?

🎤 This December 2nd 2025, join us to hear from two experts who are shaping the next wave of intelligent systems and AI-powered development.

🧠 Talk 1 — Tool Calling, MCP, and the Emerging Language of Agent Interoperability
Speaker: Jeremy Meyer – Cofounder, Winwaiv | AI Consultant & Philosopher
Bio: Jeremy Meyer is a computer scientist and philosopher with more than 25 years of experience in software engineering and training. He has built and led consulting organizations for global companies like SAP, and contributed to two books on software architecture and programming. As cofounder of Winwaiv, he helps small and medium-sized businesses transform through AI adoption.
Abstract: As AI systems evolve from standalone models into connected, tool-using agents, a new technical vocabulary is emerging to describe how they act and collaborate. This talk explores three of the key ideas shaping that shift:
Tool Calling — allowing models to invoke external functions and services.
Model Context Protocol (MCP) — a standard for describing and discovering tools.
A2A (Agent-to-Agent) Protocols — enabling agents to communicate and coordinate across systems.
Through brief demos and discussion, Jeremy will unpack how these concepts fit together, what problems they solve, and what an interoperable agent ecosystem might look like — defining the next phase of intelligent system design.

⚙️ Talk 2 — Developing with AI: How to Make It Truly Magical
Speaker: Pascal Hamel – Vice-Président, Développement logiciel @ Mirego
Bio: Pascal has been building software and leading development teams for nearly 20 years. Starting as a developer in insurance, he went on to become CTO in two startups before joining Mirego, where he’s held roles as developer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, lead developer, and now VP of Software Development. Today, he leads Mirego’s AI development team and oversees the Scout AI platform, having contributed to major projects with Bell, TV5, BRP, and Golf Canada.
Abstract: Since the arrival of ChatGPT and the rise of agentic AI, marketing has promised us “magic.” But those who’ve tried to build real-world AI products know — it takes craft, rigor, and creativity to make that magic real. In this talk, Pascal shares how Mirego built genuinely delightful, AI-powered experiences — from concept to delivery — through practical examples and lessons learned. Expect real demos, honest insights, and some inspiration for your next project.
