Geneva Hiking with Dogs - Christmas Edition - Vessy, Geneva

Please note that this is an afternoon walk.
Feel free to dress yourself/your dog in
Christmas themed outfits to get in the spirit!

We will meet in the Car Park of the Sports Ground of Vessy. Address for Sat Nav is 19 Route de Vessy, 1206 Geneva. GPS Co-ordinates 46°10'55.0"N 6°09'45.1"E

There is a big open area between the car park and the bridge, we will meet here at 13:45 for a 14:00 start.
When you park, please be sure to pay as this is now a payable car park.

For those coming by public transport buses 7 and 11 go to Bout du Monde and the meeting point is a 5 minute walk on the other side of the bridge.

This walk is relatively flat and will last around 2 hours.

Please only come if your dog is -

• Old enough to walk for 2 hours (no puppies under the age of 10 months, unless you're able to carry them)
• Friendly with other dogs
• Obedient (good recall, particularly in situations where we may come across wild animals)
• In good health (no diarrhoea, coughing, limping, after an operation, etc)

Owners are responsible for their own dogs. This is a busy route with many runners and other dogs, and we will be close to busy roads at a couple of points during the walk so please be vigilant with your dog for their safety. When we will be on the road/close to roads I will let you know so you can put your dog on a lead or have them walk to heel.

Please let me know in advance if your dog has any behavioural issues i.e. Fear of larger dogs, dominance, etc and we can agree if your dog can join but be kept on a lead, muzzled etc.

Geneva Hiking with Dogs is a voluntary organisation and will not be held responsible for any incidents or accidents during one of its walks. I ask that you are vigilant with your dog and manage any antisocial behaviour. You may be asked to keep your dog on a lead if it is demonstrating antisocial behaviour.
