When we look at the world, it is easy to see the divisions, hatred, discrimination, fear, and greed that give rise to conflicts and wars, devastating so many human lives, as well as animal and plant life, and the Earth itself.
Ecological disasters are multiplying, our biosphere is threatened, and we realize that we are all interdependent.
“We must learn to live as brothers and sisters, or we will all perish together as fools.” Martin Luther King
This is why it seems vital and urgent to us to commit ourselves without taking sides, to come together, to walk side by side, in silence, in peace, harmony, and fraternity, in order to bear witness together, with our peaceful steps, that “there is no path to peace, that peace is the path.” (Gandhi)
Beyond cultures, beliefs, and borders, this citizen initiative is open to everyone, in a universal and inclusive approach.
This march is organized in the spirit of nonviolence as practiced by Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Thich Nhat Hanh.
It is a march without flags, slogans, or banners.
We are not marching for a distant or future peace. We are marching to encounter peace in the present moment, with every step, with every breath.
We are marching to generate and radiate an energy of peace here and now, within ourselves, among those who walk with us, for the Earth and for the world.
A heartfelt call to march together for peace, solidarity, dignity, and love of all living things.
