Details
⭐ Please read the full description ⭐
We are going to hike from Machilly up to the Signal des Voirons (1,480 m), the highest point of the Voirons massif on the French side of Lake Geneva. This is a 15.6-km out-and-back trail that takes us through forests, past the Notre-Dame des Voirons chapel, and up to a ridge with panoramic views toward Mont Blanc, Lac Léman, and the Jura.
The route starts from Machilly train station and climbs steadily on forest paths up to Signal des Voirons. After enjoying the summit views and having lunch, we will descend in a loop back to Machilly.
Due to recent snow fall you may expect ice and snow on the tracks.
