This Sunday we are going to snowshoe from the Col du Marchariuz to the Crêt de la Neuve and back. This is a 10.9km itinerary leaving from the Hôtel-Restaurant de Marchairuz.
We will need snowshoes for this hike. If there is not enough snow, we will have to use crampons so bring your gear (more details below).
️ HIKE DETAILS
We will meet at 9:23 at the parking of the Hôtel-Restaurant de Marchairuz which is just a few meters from the bus stop (Le Marchairuz, Col - Bus #720).
We will walk at a moderate pace and will be making stops for lunch, snacks, and to admire the views. There is no covered place where we can make a stop for lunch so we will have our picnic time outdoors.
Starting time: 9:23
Duration: 5:30 hours (including breaks)
Length: 10.3km
Elevation gain: 441m ascent / 441m descent

This hike is not technically difficult but you need to be moderately fit to do it as the group normally walks fast. Ideally you should have have snowshoed before.
