Global WordPress Translation Day is a 24-hour global event dedicated to the translation of the WordPress ecosystem (core, themes, plugins).

This is a unique and innovative event – a cool mix of digital and physical: A 24-hour live stream on https://wptranslationday.org (https://wptranslationday.org/) that will provide inspiration and training to both coders and translators on localizing and internationalizing. In addition to that, we will come together to learn about internationalization (i18n) and localization (L10n), as well as to translate WordPress, plugins, and themes.

Make sure to come with your laptop. We can help you create a wordpress.org account in case you don’t have one yet.

In Geneva, the meeting will be open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm but you can totally come for a shorter amount of time. Join us only for 2 hours in the afternoon? no problem! We finish at 4pm to let people join "Les Géantes" cultural event arrival at Plainpalais

This meetup will be held in the new "Voisins 105" coworking space in La Praille. Many thanks to "Voisins" to host us.

Beginners welcome, no need to translate to French if your mother language is another one (to translate from English to your language).

We will mentor beginners on best practices, work with Slack, etc. We will also follow the live streaming happening from around the world. And maybe a video call with Drôme-Ardèche and Bordeaux meetup groups.

A Genève, le meeting aura lieu de 11:00 à 16:00, mais vous pouvez tout à fait venir pour seulement un moment. Nous rejoindre pour 2 heures durant l'après-midi ? pas de problème ! On finit à 16:00 pour qu'on puisse rejoindre l'arrivée des "Géantes" (événement culturel) à Plainpalais
