Free Museum Day - Florida Holocaust Museum
Details
Kristallnacht Commemoration Day is 11/9 and the museum is newly renovated. I recently went on a private tour, but didn't get to the 2nd floor. Thought I'd post it here in case anyone else wants to join me on a FREE entry day. I am putting this as an am event, but the commemoration service starts at 3pm where people read the names of those killed throughout this pogrom.
BAGS/PURSES- they have a strict CLEAR BAG ONLY policy in place now. They have some lockers up front, but try and leave any bags in your car.
PARKING - The museum has a small parking lot, but cannot guarantee parking there, even at opening time.
LUNCH - We can grab some local grub afterwards.

From the FHM website:
Kristallnacht owes its name to the shards of shattered glass from broken windows that lined German streets on November 9-10 in 1938.
Throughout the night, thousands of Jewish owned businesses, homes, and synagogues were ransacked and destroyed in a coordinated series of attacks throughout Germany.
This was the first widespread use of massive force against Jews by the Nazi regime and figures as an essential turning point in Nazi Germany.
