About this walk
This is a great, flat and scenic walk along Cramond promenande (total return distance 4 miles). You look out across the Firth of Forth throughout this open and wide route. Plenty of room for bikers, kids on rollerskates/bikes, wheelchair or mobility scooters, walkers, kite flyers and runners alike. Always very popular but especially at seasonal holidays (Christmas/Boxing day, Easter etc).
You can choose to walk literally along the shoreline or along the paved promenade pretty much the whole length of the walk. We can enjoy large open grass areas, beachy bits, a sculpture or two, woodland areas and a huge grassy section called Gypsy brae. There are many options for ice cream/ pub lunches/ coffee tea etc which you can reward yourself with.

Parking on West Shore road at Gypsy Brae.
