Wednesday Walk: SHALE TRAIL (PART2) UPHALL - LIVINGSTON VIA RIVER ALMOND WALKWAY

At the request of a couple of Wednesday walkers who require Shale Trail 2 to make up their personal set of all 3 Shale Trail walks then this walk is scheduled for Wednesday 2ndJuly. ( July where has the year gone !!!! )
This is the middle section walk No 2 of the 3 walks following the Shale Trail and this time you'll walk from Uphall to Livingston.

THE SHALE TRAIL: is a new route through West Lothian’s industrial past and tells the oil shale story, enabling visitors to learn about all aspects of local shale heritage. It showcases West Lothian's rich cultural, historical and scientific heritage.
There is historical information along the route which will tell the story of the ‘Shale people’ and public art to capture the imagination, bringing communities together to celebrate their rich history.

GETTING TO UPHALL
🚌BUS: X18 (Stop PQ) leaves Waverley Steps, Princes Street and arrives Uphall (just before Oatridge Hotel on East Main Street)

RETURNING TO EDINBURGH
🚌BUS: From Livingston to Edingburgh i.e. X27 and X28
To Fife - the X51
To South Queensferry - the X72 or x 51
🚙CAR: Drivers can return to Uphall using buses: 31, 72 or 902
