Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on the original request for feedback and the date is now confirmed for Wednesday 6th August.
The start time for those getting the bus at Edinburgh Bus station is critical, be there by 9.10 as the bus leaves at 9.20 and if missed then there is no other option. George will go to Edinburgh Bus Station to coordinate the group.
If getting the bus at Haymarket or Ratho Station then again please be at the stop 10 minutes before due time.
ALTHOUGH I ADVISE THAT IT IS NOT BEST SUITED TO INDEPENDENT TRAVEL BY CAR ,IT IS STILL POSSIBLE AND IN THE EVENT THAT WALKERS WISH TO COME BY CAR THEN PLEASE CALL ME DIRECT ON 07803 085 087 TO DISCUSS.
This walk does suit those in possession of a Scottish Senior Travel or any other type of Travel concession card.
Programme for the trip would be > 909 Edinburgh to Stirling bus from a couple of locations Edinburgh BS>Haymarket>Ratho Station only.
Get off 909 bus at Grangemouth stop > Get on very regular Falkirk buses to Falkirk Football Stadium > Get off at Falkirk Football Stadium which is also the access point to The Kelpies Park > Walk up to the Kelpies visiting the attraction for perhaps 30 minutes > Walk from the Kelpies to the Falkirk Wheel along the Forth and Clyde canal > Return to Falkirk Centre via multiple local buses > Return to Edinburgh via the x 38 Falkirk to Edinburgh bus.
