EAST CRAIGLOCKHART HILLS NATURE RESERVE

Details
Mary invites you to join her on this lovely walk in the nature reserve of Craiglockhart Hills.
CRAIGLOCKHART EASTER HILL*:* Woods, meadows, cliffs, a marsh and a pond. (35 acres of peace, serenity and loveliness in the heart of a busy bustling city)
The ‘Easter’ hill is only 525 feet high yet it will reward us with some magnificent views of the City and surrounding countryside.
We can stroll on level paths around the pond and the lower woods - and climb to the top via steeper paths. We will walk at an easy pace which should be manageable to us all.
***WOODLANDS: ***planted over 200 years ago and today you can see a mix of sycamore, elm, beech and ash.
WILDLIFE: As well as the resident swans look out for buzzards, tawny owls, woodpeckers and kingfishers. Foxes, badgers and roe deer also live on the hill.
