LINEAR WALK NOT CIRCULAR Clock, Craighouse, Canal and Chat

Level : modarate walking, there are ascents

Starting at Morningside Clock (Morningside Road / Comiston Road junction), we'll go along to Craighouse, up to the viewpoint, down to Craiglockhart pond, across to the Canal and along to Fountainbridge basin.
Sturdy footwear is wise, as it might be muddy around viewpoint area. If you have walking poles it might be a good idea to bring them along.
We'll stop for a few minutes at the viewpoint and again at Craiglockhart Pond. We won't stop for lunch, and the walk will end at Fountainbridge
where those that want to join me for a refreshment at a dog friendly place are welcome. The nearest public toilets are the start at at Canaan Lane (should open at 1000 hrs), just along from the Canny Man's on Morningside Road (about 5 mins walk from Morningside Clock).
Morningside Clock is on a busy bus route : 5, 11, 15, 16, 23, 38, 41.
