MIDDAY/MIDWEEK: INVERKEITHING - DALGETY BAY (PART OF FIFE COASTAL PATH)
Details
Come join me on this lovely coastal walk from Inverkeithing along part of the Fife Coastal Path to Dalgety Bay. We’ll set off from Invekeithing (Ferry Toll Car Park) at noon and walk along part of the Fife Coastal Path. We'll pass through St David’s Bay and walk on to Dalgety Bay with some great views of the 3 Bridges on the way. Once there you can decide whether to walk back to Ferrytoll - or to return by bus from Dalgety Bay.
* ST DAVID'S BAY/HARBOUR: In former days the harbour was used as a coal port for exporting coal to the Netherlands and Belgium and many of Fife's roof tiles came as ballast in the coal ships. This trade ceased in 1946.
* DALGETY BAY: overlooks the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh and The Lothians. A fairly new town (developed in 1962 - two years before the opening of the Forth Bridge).
