Overview
Agentic AI systems that can plan and act independently are being integrated into the services and infrastructure that Australians rely on every day. Agentic cyber threats are also increasingly capable and attacking individuals, businesses and government services. In this discussion, Dr Ivano Bongiovanni will explore agentic AI, how it creates new security challenges, and how society might respond.
Dr Ivano Bongiovanni is General Manager of AUSCERT, Australia's pioneer cyber emergency response team with over 30 years of industry experience. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity Governance, Policy, and Leadership at the University of Queensland Business School. He holds a PhD in safety and security management and has advised government and industry on cybersecurity strategies, governance structures, and risk management.
