What can traditional medicines teach us - the search for drug leads from nature

The presentation will be provided by Professor Joanne Blanchard.
Jo Blanchfield is a professor of chemistry in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences at Queensland University. She did a BSc and PhD at UQ studying organic and medicinal chemistry and after several years working in USA and Canberra, returned to take us a teaching and research academic position at UQ. Her current research program involves the search for bioactive compounds from traditional medicinal plants and fungi.
