This will be an easy and familiar walk for many of us. We will meet, park, & start near the entrance to the first parking lot for the public at St John's College. (Please dbl-click the map for better view of the roads and parking.) I say near the entrance because it seems there is a year-old parking policy here. Park ONLY where the slots are painted with, "Visitor Parking Only" at the street end of the lot. We'll walk to east end of lot then along the arroyo up onto a open area with side arroyos with pinon trees, that make for good meditation spots, shaded or in sun per your choice. Views of Sun & Moon.
Then we can take a spur trail up the the Sun/Moon saddle and see nice views there and return along the side of Sun to the water tower and arroyo. That makes it about a 2.7 mile hike. Many of us have done this in the past, and had a great time.
