Presenters

  • Mike Alonzo from American University will talk about urban tree cover and how that affect urban heat islands. He will also introduce other local, urban tree projects using drone data and PlanetScope imagery.
  • Daniel Rusinek from Object Computing will talk about the need for more user-friendly LIDAR visualization and communicating geospatial data.
  • Rory Nealon and Ryan Avery from the USAID/GeoCenter will discuss their recent trip to Malawi to work with YouthMappers in support of World Bike Relief's Bicycle Market Systems Analysis. They will cover the remote mapping activities, training, participatory GIS and field data collection work.
